Full-Stack Developer

AskGMS provides data analytics services to over 20 large national insurance carriers. We have a proprietary database of sales activity from each of these carriers which we use for our AskGMS web analytics system and for custom reporting.

We are always looking for excellent developers who are passionate about innovative design, efficient development, and making the impossible possible. To do well in this role you need the ability to quickly understand problems, creatively establish solutions as part of a team, and implement these solutions in a variety of challenging environments.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, deploy, and maintain systems across cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Craft consistent, appealing interface design and styling, with a focus on user experience.
  • Build modular API components and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Ensure the proprietary data and application environments are well-secured.
  • Engage with progress tracking systems, add supporting documentation, and improve automated testing.
  • Address time-critical bugs expediently.

Qualifications

  • A mind which sees opportunity in challenges and loves working as a team to conquer the impossible.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and bash. A background including Spark and/or Pandas also helps.
  • Demonstrable understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
  • Working knowledge of visual design for user interfaces.
  • Background iterating on design concepts as part of a multidisciplinary team.
